+ You can use other images from comics - or from the characters in live/animated media - but part of the icon must feature at least one of the images below (I had shit luck finding Marvel covers without text on them, feel free to use a textless one if you do).

+ Icons should be new/made for this challenge.

Northstar, the groundbreaking first openly gay character in Marvel Comics. Fans recently saw Northstar lead a new iteration of Canada's premier super-team during the FALL OF X limited series, ALPHA FLIGHT (2023).
Rachel Summers, currently playing a pivotal role in Krakoa’s final battle in RISE OF THE POWERS OF X. She will star alongside her girlfriend, Betsy Braddock, in the upcoming new run of X-FORCE.
Lightning, the most electrifying member of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes who played a pivotal role in 2018's NO SURRENDER event. He’ll be rejoining the team later this year in a yet-to-be announced new Avengers title.
X-MEN WEDDING SPECIAL
Mystique and Destiny are one of the most beloved - and longest running - gay couples in history. Somewhere in their 100+ years together, the pair married, but we've never seen the event on the page. This year, Marvel's Voices: Pride makes history with Marvel's first woman-to-woman wedding.
STAR WARS
Doctor Aphra, the galaxy's most daring rogue archaeologist and an original Marvel Comics character who’s headlined two hit solo series and whose monthly title was the recipient of the 2024 GLAAD Award for Outstanding Comic Book!
Cair San Tekka & Xylan Graf, a couple who found love despite their family’s never-ending feud in the prose novel The High Republic: Defy the Storm.
Ruu, a brave Jedi during the High Republic, introduced in The High Republic: Tales of Light and Life, a short story collection, and he made his comic debut in The High Republic: Crash Landing (2024). Ruu is Star Wars' first trans character.
Sinjir Rath Velus, a former Imperial officer who joined the Rebel Alliance after the Battle of Endor. The character first appeared in Chuck Wendig’s hit Aftermath novel trilogy as one of the first gay Star Wars characters, and this cover marks his first comic book appearance.
DC
Nubia is a bisexual black Amazon who holds the distinct honour of being DC Comics' first black female hero, created by Robert Kanigher & Don Heck for Wonder Woman #204 in January of 1973. Today the character is depicted as one of Wonder Woman's oldest and closest friends. Nubia is currently in a relationship with another Amazon, the blacksmith Io.
Nia Nal is a Naltorian-Human hybrid with the power of precognition who eventually became the superhero known as Dreamer.
Batwoman/ Kate Kane, a young woman expelled from West Point due to her sexuality. She is the cousin of Bruce Wayne, with her father Jacob Kane being the brother of Martha Kane, Bruce's mother.
DC Pride: A Celebration of Rachel Pollack, a 96-page one-shot celebrating legendary transgender writer Rachel Pollack, who passed away in April of 2023. It will reprint Doom Patrol #70, the debut of DC's first transgender superhero Coagula, along with the long-unavailable one-shot Vertigo Visions: The Geek and an original Coagula story from Joe Corallo and Rye Hickman.
So hard to find an actual list of who the characters on the DC covers are fml. Sorry but I gave up :/ (also Eiko/Catwoman continually getting swept under the rug hrrmp.)
