There's thankfully a lot more canon queer characters to go around these days. I figured maybe an icontest that gives them the spotlight would be a good addition to the community.

Rules
+ Anyone can run a challenge here, though only one challenge should be active at a time, outside of voting.
+ Whoever runs the challenge will supply HQ caps. Caps should be hosted on Dreamwidth, so they're likely to stay up.
+ Canonical queer characters only. F.exa. while Jackie is strongly queer-coded on Yellowjackets, it is not confirmed, unlike Taissa, Vanessa, and Coach Scott.
+ The challenge screencaps should feature all main queer characters from the fandom you pick.
+ Open to tv, movie, videogame, and comic characters.
+ Entries to a challenge should go in a new post to the community.

Hello, there. I noticed you said you make your own screencaps. I'd love to learn how to do that. What kind of program would I need to have to make HQ screencaps on a Windows laptop? Any help you could offer would be great. I look forward to entering and creating some challenges eventually :)

Hey there, welcome :)

I'm no big expert on making caps, I just take them manually in VLC while I'm watching (for me it's SHIFT + S). Only pausing and going frame by frame (E to go one frame at a time) if there's a lot of movement on screen, to try and find one with less blur.

The quality really has to do with the quality of the source you're capping. Hope that helps!

I've been wanting to make a community like this for a long time, but never really committed for the lack of time (and because I'm lazy lol). Thank you for doing this and I hope this goes well and can't wait to enter the first round, even though I haven't watched Yellowjackets yet (it's been on my watchlist for a long time)!

The caps do not have to be from the same episode, but if the show has other regular queer characters, they do need to be represented in the challenge.

Unfortunately, there are no other regular queer characters on the show which is heartbreaking. I'd love to sign up for any time in December if you need someone. I'm not sure how many people would want to participate but I'd like to give it the old college try.
